Comic-Con 2014: Photos and More Photos
We’re still slowly recovering from San Diego Comic-Con and have tons of photos to share with you of our adventures! This year Matt brought his swanky new camera around to capture some great moments which you can check out HERE on our often neglected Facebook page.
Heroes of Dragon Age: Doing Female Armor Right
I have sunk more time, and money, in the last two weeks than I planned on Heroes of Dragon Age. It’s a simple game, repetitive, which makes it a boring, mobile game. Players can earn gold, or gems, to buy new characters, beef up their party, and use said party to earn more gold, or… Continue reading Heroes of Dragon Age: Doing Female Armor Right
GeekGirlCon 2014: The Family that Games Together
This year marked my third trip to GeekGirlCon in Seattle. As always, this convention maintained a positive, family friendly atmosphere. Lines for panels were organized, staff was alert — I was only aware of security having to speak with one individual about their behavior — and friendly. One of the panels I was happy to… Continue reading GeekGirlCon 2014: The Family that Games Together
Dragon Age: Inquisition – Behind the Scenes and Women in Gaming Podcasts are Now Live!
Just how hard was it to get that Dragon Age: Inquisition demo to look great on stage with minimal problems? PAX Prime 2013: Cosplay Coming Out
Do you see the smile on my face? Do you see that big-ass cheesy fucking grin? Spoiler: that’s me! That is the real me! That is a complete and whole Nat, not the “mask” I wear at work, not the sourpuss who sulks on BART, or who politely smiles and nods through her way through life because society dictates it is what I should do at my age and where I am in life.
PAX Prime 2013: Pre PAX Hootenanny Pics
This year we threw another small get together to kick off the Penny Arcade Expo in Seattle and were elated to see so many friends, past guests, and contributors all under one roof. The event was a ton of fun and we always end up feeling a bit deflated when everyone has to go home because we know it’ll be months (if not years) before we get to see everyone again. Enjoy these pics ! There are even more available on our Facebook page.
Comic-Con 2013: On the Deck of the Jackdaw – Black Flags in the Sunset
One of the highlights of this year’s Comic-Con adventure was, without a doubt, getting to wander the decks of the Jackdaw after the sun set on San Diego. To help promote the upcoming Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, Ubisoft converted the Star of India (the world’s oldest active sailing ship) into a replica of the Jackdaw for a weekend of pirate themed debauchery.
Drop by the Green Light Supershow – 13+ Hours of Indie Mayhem!
It has already been an incredible year for indie-gaming and we’re deeply in love with a number of this year’s small studio gems. We got wind of the Greenlight Supershow last week and figured we’d spread the word. The Greenlight Supershow is a 13+ hour livestream showcasing over 25 indie games from Greenlight. As this… Continue reading Drop by the Green Light Supershow – 13+ Hours of Indie Mayhem!
Have I Ever Loved Anything That Much in my Life?
Editor note: this story was originally written on Saturday of PAX Today I had the pleasure of being escorted into the Mass Effect panel called Mass Effect Trilogy: A Retrospective. It was in the largest room at PAX East and for good reason. If capacity is true, a few thousand people were ushered into the… Continue reading Have I Ever Loved Anything That Much in my Life?
